Founded in 2005 by Mike Ingoldby, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Foresters and Chartered Environmentalist, the Bowland Bioenergy team has grown exponentially, as word of their expertise, due-diligence and their steadfast approach to providing best in class products and services spread like wildfire.
With a commitment to operate in the most environmentally sensitive way possible, Bowland Bioenergy works in conjunction with government woodland management to source unwanted, bent, windblown or diseased roundwood from their local area, turning it into a range of heating fuel sources and other natural products for their commercial and residential customers.
Working in conjunction with Lancashire County Council, Natural England, Forestry England, and private estates, Bowland Bioenergy are an accredited processor of diseased trees. Biosecurity measures ensure no further spread from infected trees which not only enables the management of woodland, but ensures that Bowland Bioenergy’s customers can source affordable, sustainable fuel.
With an unwavering commitment to the environment, Bowland Bioenergy supports the replanting of local forests, planting two trees for every one that is felled under the woodland management scheme.
